Live Streaming from Carlow Cathedral

Tuesday, September 10th, 2013

New camera equipment has just been installed in Carlow Cathedral to provide for multiple views of the sanctuary from a single camera. Bernard Geraghty (Carlow Cathedral Parish Manager) reports that the PTZ (Pan, Tilt and Zoom) Camera has made possible a much richer experience for those availing of the live streaming service. “We were delighted with the feedback we had from parishioners over the past few months. They really appreciate being able to join our congregation for daily and Sunday Mass. There was much comment about not really being able to see the priest – so we decided to address the criticism and improve the service with the latest technology.”

PTZ cameras allow a single camera to provide multiple preset views. In the case of Carlow Cathedral there are views of the full sanctuary width, the Ambo, Altar and the priests chair. We can provide more information about camera installation and about our live streaming services – just get in touch today.
